Our Sister City

St. Germain-en-Laye is an historic city of 40,000 located 12 miles west of Paris. King Louis XIV was born in the chateau where the French National Museum of Antiquities is presently located. Like Winchester, St. Germain prides itself in its schools, historic background and community activism.

Winchester and St. Germain-en-Laye signed their Sister City protocol in France in 1990 and in Winchester in June, 1991.
